Festival Season Approaching

2011-05-11 5:51 pm

We seem to be rocketing through May pretty quickly, which means June is in reaching distance, and with June brings the start of festival season!

I've already bought a 6 man tent for me and just one other friend - hey, I like my space - and have managed to track down a gazebo, camping chairs, cheap hunter wellies and a decent big camping backpack to put all my stuff in!

I need to decide on how I'm going to sleep still, I know a lot of people bring a sleeping bag and a roll mat, but that just seems so uncomfortable, so I think I'll buy an inflatable mattress instead, even if it is more to carry.

You can get these ready beds that are a sleeping bag and inflatable bed in one, that's what I need! If I've got to live in a tent for four or five days I'm going to do it comfortably!

Customised Trainers

2011-05-09 5:39 pm

I am so excited! I have just designed my own pair of mens trainers!!

They look a bit like this:

But are actually black with a white design! They were £29.99 which I think is a bargain too!

The website is great. Loads of Celebs have designed trainers that you can buy like JLS or Kids in Glass Houses, and there are even some American college designs that you can buy too. For that price you could get a few pairs!

I can’t wait to wear them and the best part about it is the fact the no-one else will have a pair like mine!

My New Garden Ornament

2011-04-05 11:57 pm

My garden has a new feature. A cast iron chiminea and I love it!

It is pewter colour and has a sliding door at the front. It looks lovely on our decking in our garden where our patio furniture is and is going to be a great thing for the summer as we will be able to put it on when the sun goes down and it turns chillier.

I think it looks more chic looking and elegant than a great big patio heater in your back garden. And I am sure all the neighbours will be jealous!

Energy Help

2011-03-29 2:57 pm

After reading last week that British people are being ripped off by their energy suppliers, I decided to investigate.
Supposedly 40 – 60% of us are ‘stickers’. This means we don’t like to change our provider and rarely shop around for a good deal. Unfortunately, I fall into that category as well.

Moving provider can be hassle and take time and ultimately cost you more than what you were paying. If all the companies are the same sort of price then there is not a big difference you will be saving. It’s not like there is a Ryanair of the energy providers who undercut their rivals; everyone is BA.

However, what I have discovered is that you can be penalised for the way you pay, how often you pay (whether monthly or quarterly) and whether it is a fixed price plan. What you can do though is compare gas and electricity prices online and search for a different price plan to see if it will reduce your cost.

Presents

2011-03-26 2:25 pm

Hi all,
It is my nephews birthday coming up soon and being a child of the modern age he is one of those, what might you call them, a gamer...? Anyway, he has some kind of Nintendo station of some sort and I have been instructed by his mother that he needs to get a an R4 /a>for it, only I’m not really sure what one is, or how to get one?
Does anyone know how much these things would usually cost or where I am best looking to buy one. I mean I don’t even know where to begin, but I would definitely like to grab a hold of one for him. He seems to be quite excited by it all. In my day it was all footballs and board games not R4? It sounds like a robot.
