What to Buy/

2011-03-15 10:36 pm

Ok so this is my problem. I am currently in the mood for a new vehicle, nothing too flashy ~(I’ll be going for the second hand variety, but also nothing too shit. I’m thinking at the moment either an audi tt , an alpha romeo or maybe some kind of second hand beamer. A BMW would definitely be nice, but I am worried that people might think I’m a moron if I drive one. Is that still a popular misconception of a beamer?

What about Alpha Romeos? Are they technically an old man car or are they something else entirely? I like to think that they are more like a Batmobile but can also see how they might be taken for that of the Count in Sesame Street. And an Audi TT, is this too much of a young mans car for me to get away with?
Questions questions, questions and almost no decisions.

Vultures

2011-01-21 2:09 pm

Like every scene of crisis that carries mass fatalities, these desperate times of the 21st century have numerous vultures and grave diggers seeking to benefit from the woes of others. The recent addition to this motley crew of pirates it seems is the online loan company. Offering unrealistic same day loans that you can supposedly pay back in your own time and on your own terms these sites are the devil.
It is very rare indeed that I can call someone more evil and crippling than the average bank but these lot certainly fit the bill. They are scum. Offering filthy rose tinted views of finance that will only bring this country into a deeper and more poisonous hole than the one it currently dwells in.

Vintage Bikes

2010-09-29 6:00 pm

Cycling is a growing new craze in the London at the minute with everyone from the yuppy office types to trendy Shoreditch scenesters jumping on the bandwagon at the minute.
I got into the whole thing a few months ago and haven’t looked back at all, I mean yes, the weather is not always great but the amount of money I have saved on tubes and petrol make a spot of rain every now and then easily worthwhile. Not to mention it re-adresses my waning kamic balance by substantially shrinking my carbon footprint, being green does make it easier to sleep at night come News Night, I can tell you.
If you want to look cool in London the general way forward it seems is to ride something a bit vintage and simple looking, bulky, suspicion wielding mountain bikes are just sooo 90s. 1970s retro is the way to go. Retailers have obviously cottoned on to this and bumped prices up on the previously cheapo option, which is why alternative sellers found searching places like here for, bicycles
for sale
, are providing a wealth of opportunities. Just search vintage bike and you will get a whole load of options for usually a fraction of the actually retail price.

Indoor sports shoes

2010-09-25 6:15 pm

Ask any athlete, having the right sports shoes is of paramount importance as it affects both your performance and safety. Whether it is hiking boots, tennis shoes, or running shoes, finding the right one that fits your budget and your requirements is really important.
I was looking for shoes for indoor sports this time, and I went through a number of websites looking for the perfect pair. After spending quite a bit of time online, here's what I've found:
1. The Hi-Tec Unisex Squash Classic trainer, the ultimate pair of shoes for those who love to regularly indulge themselves in a game of squash
2. Adidas Adiprene trainers for those who run regularly
In fact, I even tried the Adidas ones out at the store the other day. Not only were they comfortable, they also offer additional support and help prevent injuries. They were much better than any other model the store had for runners.
You can probably guess that I bought the pair, right?
